Paolo Giordano, was born in Naples in 1954 and grew up in Milan where he lives. He studied architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, graduating in 1978.
From 1978 to 1995 he worked as a professional photographer, and collaborated with Italian and International magazines of architecture, fashion, current affairs and photography.
His work during these years was distinguished for his 'photo montages' which he was creating long before photoshop arrived. It was with this work that he participated in a number of exhibitions, including 'Immagini Italiane' organised by the Aperture Foundation in 1993, curated by Melissa Harris at the Peggy Guggenheim in Venice and the Murray Rayburn Foundation in NYC.
In the early 1990's he began travelling in India, a life-changing experience which led him to found a company called I+I, producing artisan-made design objects in a contemporary spirit.
The I+I collection continues to this day, producing high quality textiles and special design objects. Giordano has also returned to his roots in this continuing research into the world of the photographic image.
